Every employee, contractor, or visitor receives a uniquely coded active RFID or BLE wearable upon site entry. The tag is instantly enrolled into the RTLS database, linked to the person's profile, department, and permitted zones.
The tag broadcasts its unique encrypted ID every 100ms to strategically placed zone readers throughout the facility. Multiple readers receive each signal simultaneously, providing the overlapping data needed for high-accuracy positioning.
The RTLS server applies trilateration algorithms — using time-of-flight (ToF) signal measurements from multiple anchors — to calculate the precise X/Y/Z coordinate of every active tag to within 30 centimetres.
The graphical dashboard displays a live floor-plan with every person's live position, highlighted by department colour. Managers can drill into any zone, search for individuals by name, or filter by role — all updated live with zero delay.
If a person enters a restricted zone or an emergency evacuation is called, automated alerts fire instantly to all relevant managers via app notification, SMS, and email. Muster reports are generated in under 10 seconds post-evacuation.
